Professor Dimitrios A. Lamprou
Professor Lamprou (Ph.D. MBA) is a subject matter expert in emerging pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical technologies, with a focus on the development and manufacturing of sustainable drug delivery systems, advanced medical devices, and biocompatible implants. He has authored more than 180 peer-reviewed publications and 500 conference abstracts, delivered over 200 invited talks at leading institutions and international conferences, and secured research funding exceeding £5 million.

Dimitrios has been internationally recognized as a leading expert in 3D printing / bioprinting, and microfluidics / lab-on-a-chip technologies. According to PubMed-based analytics, he ranks among the top 0.01% of global scholars publishing on printing and in the top 0.07% for microfluidics over the past decade. His contributions to pharmaceutics and biomedical engineering have also earned him a place on Stanford University’s prestigious list of the world’s top 2% of scientists, an honor he has received for several consecutive years.

His research and academic leadership have been acknowledged through a variety of prestigious awards, including the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Science Award, the Scottish Universities Life Sciences Alliance Leaders Scheme Award, and Doctor Honoris Causa by Semmelweis University.
